Gloria Ann Knight Richardson

Gloria Ann Knight Richardson, of Kentwood, Louisiana, passed away at St. Tammany Parish Hospital on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the age of 77. She was born on January 4, 1946, in Monroe, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Henry Knight and Eva Mae Scoggins Knight. Gloria worked as an administrative assistant at Southeastern Louisiana University until she retired. She always enjoyed her work at Southeastern but also loved to knit, crochet, cook and garden. Gloria was most proud of her marriage and her children and she will be missed dearly.

Gloria is survived by her son, Michael Richardson and his wife, Susan; daughter, Brendan Daigle and her husband, Louis; granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Paul Richardson, sister, Loretta Knight Binder, and brother, Henry Samuel Knight Jr.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. 

A Funeral Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond  on Tuesday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Richardson Family Cemetery in Holden, Louisiana.
