Gloria Bradley Mcfadden

On Sunday October 28, 2018 Gloria Bradley McFadden, the epitome of a southern lady, peacefully passed away at the age of 90 to join her loving husband and her Lord.

Family left to cherish her memory include her daughter and son-in-law Marley McFadden Marten and Greg Marten, and son and daughter-in-law Bradley E. McFadden and Julie P. McFadden; grandchildren Myrie Marten Burvant and husband Dr. Joel Burvant, Timothy Stevens, Bradley McFadden, Jordan McFadden Adams and husband Darren Adams; great grandchildren Ethan Adams and Beckett Burvant. Additional survivors include her sister Dianne Bradley McDonald and husband David McDonald and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dennis E. McFadden, her parents Marie Baltzell Bradley and J. Winston Bradley and grandson Conrad McFadden Marten.

Following WWII Gloria graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southeastern Louisiana University where she earned a B.A. in Business Administration. While at Southeastern she was a member of The Thirteen Club, Omicron Delta Epsilon International Honors Society in Economics and Kappa Rho Sorority. After graduating and marrying her college sweetheart, she and Dennis raised their family in Hammond surrounded by a devoted circle of friends developed while at Southeastern. As a married couple, they joined Grace Memorial Episcopal Church where she served as treasurer in St. Margaret's Guild. Gloria found joy in her family and friends as together they cultivated countless memories at their camps and social gatherings. She will be remembered always for her gracious hospitality, her warm smile and her gentle care of loved ones.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday October 31, 2018 from 9:00am until funeral services begin at 11:00am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd. Hammond, Louisiana.

Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum in Hammond.
