Glenn Terry Hanna, Sr.

Glenn Terry Hanna, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, surrounded by his family, in Loranger, Louisiana, at the age of 74.  He was born on Tuesday, January 21, 1947 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Ethel Mae Tuttle Hanna and the late James Arbis Hanna.  He was a resident of Loranger, Louisiana.

Glenn was an avid fisherman, and often went on fishing trips to Manchac. He also loved taking vacations, and took many trips to Disney World with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Glenn also loved taking care of his lawn and was a master grass-cutter.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 53 years, Josephine M. Hanna; children, Sandy H. Shaffer (Jeff), Glenn Terry Hanna, Jr. (Wendy), and Wendy H. Turner (Travis, Sr.); grandchildren, Jeffry Shaffer, Jr. (Tara), Kirk Shaffer (Dawn), Charley Shaffer (Aaron), Sophia Hanna, Glenn Terry Hanna III, Francesca Hanna, Arbis Hanna, Travis Turner, Jr., Daphne Turner, and Elsa Turner; great-grandchildren, Oakleigh Gremillion and Collin Shaffer; and brother, James Arbis Hanna, Jr.

In addition to his parents, Glenn was also preceded in death by his son, John Arbis Hanna; grandson, Mickey Turner; and siblings, Christine McCraw and Evonne Robertson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.  The visitation will continue the following day, Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the funeral home, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Loranger Community Cemetery, Loranger, Louisiana.
