Giovani Barrera

Giovani Barrera, of Holden, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at the age of 16. He was born on November 30, 2004, in Hammond, Louisiana.

Giovani is survived by his father, Raul Zaragoza; mother, Alicia Barrera; siblings, Cristian Jair Zaragoza, Irais Q. Zaragoza, Nathan Zaragoza, Sergio D. Segura, Maritza Segura, Esther Hernandez, Angelica Perez, Mireya Perez, Fabian Perez, Mayco Perez, Selena Perez, and Carlos Barrera; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces, and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marcos Zaragoza, Graciela de Jesus, Salud Ortiz Martinez, and Agustin Barrera Muñoz.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 8:30 am until 10:30 am.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Colonial Cemetery in Independence, Louisiana.
