Gerald Ray Jenkins

Gerald Ray Jenkins, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at the age of 60. He was born on May 2, 1962, in Independence, Louisiana and grew up in Bedico. Gerald, known as "Ray Ray," was always very happy even in the midst of adversity. He could find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties and always kept a positive attitude.

Gerald was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Jane Sticker Jenkins, and son, Aaron Jenkins.

He is survived by his father, Merlie Jenkins, daughter, Arianne Jenkins Pennino, grandchildren, Jasmine, Gabriel, Eliana, and Micah, sisters, Christina Daniel and husband Mark, and Tracy Beddingfield, numerous nieces and nephews, one great niece, and many good friends that stood by him and supported him.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staffs of Pontchartrain Health Care Center and Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing for their compassionate care.

Family and friends are welcome to attend his graveside service at Sticker Cemetery in Bedico on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 3:00 pm.
