Gerald "Pete" Anthony East

Gerald Anthony (Pete) East Sr., 54 years old of Springfield, Louisiana, rode his Harley Davidson through the gates of heaven on  Thursday, November 1, 2018.

Gerald was born on Thursday, January 9, 1964, in Lafayette.

He was a thirty year Captain on the river, He was the friend who never liked you, he was a dreamer who accomplished everything he set his mind to.

His legacy lives through his son, Gerald Anthony East, Jr., and his two wonderful daughters, Amber Carol East and Harley Nicole East, he will always be known as crazy paw-paw Pete to his beloved granddaughter, Oaklynn Rae Gauthreaux, his mother, Magnolia Stroder, brothers, Adam East Jr., Melvin East, Winn East, and Roy Marris.

He is preceded in death by his father Adam East Sr.; brothers, David East Sr.and Kelvin East.

Friends will be received Friday, November 9, 2018 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home -  Ponchatoula .

A celebration of Gerald's life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00p.m.

Interment will follow in the Rosaryville Cemetery Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
