George Navarre, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, with his loving wife by his side. He attended LA Tech and graduated from LSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction. George has been a dedicated employee at Spartan Building Corporation as a Project Estimator since 1986. He enjoyed watching LSU Football, visiting various breweries while traveling with his wife, Kim. George was a wonderful husband, brother and friend who is already deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Navarre; siblings, Travis Navarre (Sue), Adley Navarre Jr (Yvonne), Patsy Navarre, Myra Gaudin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. George is also survived by his brother-in-law, Skip Tye (Tara), sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Carr; niece-in-law, Fianna Tye; and nephews-in-law, Tobin Tye, Thomas Carr, and Liam Carr.
Preceding George in death his son, Eric Navarre; parents, Adley Navarre Sr. and Mary Boudreaux Navarre; and numerous siblings.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Albany at 10:00 a.m. with internment to follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Margaret Catholic Church or foundation of their choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home.
