Gary "Ronnie" Ronald Mclin

Gary “Ronnie” Ronald McLin, 76years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday,September 11, 2018. He was born in Ponchatoula on January 9, 1942. Ronnieattended Ponchatoula schools and graduated from Southeastern LouisianaUniversity with a degree in Industrial Arts Education and his Master’s fromLoyola University. He taught school in Jefferson Parish for over 30 years.Ronnie was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4874 inPonchatoula. He served as Grand Knight, past Grand Knight, and Trustee. 

Ronnie is survived by his loving wifeof 53 years, Virginia “Ginger” Danner McLin. He is also survived by his sonScott McLin and his wife Cherie, his daughters, Dana McLin and her partner Jan,and Erin M. Casey and her husband Jay. His grandchildren include Adrienne,Joseph, Cameron, Katherine, Sean, and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his sisterLeAnn Whitener. 

Ronnie is preceded in death by his brothersRene McLin, Jr., and George Eady and his sister Erlene Thompson. 

A Rosary for Ronnie will be recitedon Friday, September 14, 2018, at 6:30 pm followed by a visitation from 7:00 pmuntil 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. Visitationwill continue Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at St.Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ponchatoula. A Funeral Mass celebrating Ronnie's lifewill immediately follow visitation at 11:00 am in the church. Interment will followat Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula.
