Freddie Carlos Posey

Freddie Carlos Posey passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 84. He was born on Saturday, January 27, 1940 in Independence, Louisiana to the late Gilda Mae Posey and Fred Posey. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, and a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Freddie is survived by his significant other, Sharon Traylor Posey; children, Suzanne McAlister, Michael Posey, Tiffany Delaune, Alena Gomes, and Schyler Bohning (John); grandchildren, Hunter Carter (Alexis), Adriana Holeman, Jeb and Caroline Bohning, Olivia and Rhett Carter, Janie Newby (Jason), Tannah McAlister, Tara Posey, and Montana Posey; previous wives, Lettie Bankston and Patsy Middleton; brothers; Jim (Patricia), Harold Jeffrey and John (Heather) Posey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilda Mae Posey and Fred Posey; and siblings, Mark, David and Brenda Posey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 11:00 am., until services start at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow in Twin Pines Cemetery, Holden, Louisiana.
