Franklin D. Hamilton

Franklin D. Hamilton, of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away at Ochsner River Parish Hospital on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born on Monday, December 15, 1941, in Deridder, Louisiana.

Franklin  is survived by the love of his life of over 26 years, Janet Mixon; daughter & son-in-law, Toni J. Riley and  Arthur Riley; son & daughter-in-law, David and Melissa Hamilton; he is also survived by  five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; Janet's children, whom he loved dearly, Jeanette Mixon, Kelly Mixon and  her fiance Frankie Saragusa and Robert Mixon and his wife Rebecca Mixon, and Roberts children, Alexandria, Cassidy and Ethan his god-granddaughter, Khloe Short, brother & sister-in-law, Hershal and Jennifer Hamilton, brother, Michael E. Hamilton, brother, Marlon G. Hamilton, his beloved little weenie dog, Lola and his grand-weenie dogs Sadie, Ellie, Nova and Charlie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis Hamilton and  Alma Harper Hamilton, his brother, James Vernon.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
