Frank S. Tallia, Sr.

Frank Salvador Tallia, Sr., age 81, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at North Oaks Medical Center. He was born on Friday, August 16, 1935, in Hammond, to the late Phillip and Frances Pecararo Tallia.

He was a retired farmer and bus driver for the Tangipahoa Parish School System and an usher at Holy Ghost Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Nemeth Tallia; two daughters, Kathy Tallia Costa and husband Raymond Costa, and Cheryl Tallia Schiro and husband Joseph Schiro; two sons, Frank Salvador Tallia, Jr. and wife Sheila Threeton Tallia, and Richard Phillip Tallia and wife Melissa Kelly Tallia; grandchildren: Raymond Keith Costa, Rachel Frances Costa, Miranda Alise Tallia and fiance' Ryan Morgan, Brindley Jeannine Tallia, Richard Phillip Tallia, II and Laina Landry, and Frank Salvador "Trey" Tallia, III; a great-grandson, Kohen Phillip Tallia; twin brother, Vito Joseph Tallia and sister-in-law Annie Nemeth Tallia; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his infant grandson, Adam Colby Tallia; his brother, John Phillip Tallia; sisters, Annie Tallia Sciortino, Frances Tallia Ferrara and Josie Tallia Gulotta; and an infant brother.

Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. from 9:00am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.

He holds a special place in each of our hearts and we will always love and miss him.
