A resident of Tickfaw, Frank died Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Summerfield Senior Living in Hammond. He was 86 years old. Frank was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church.

Visitation will be at McKneely & Sons Funeral Home, Hammond, on Friday July 8, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church at 11:00. Interment will be in Tickfaw Catholic Cemetery.

Frank is survived by his wife, Kathryn Benenati Sinagra. They were married 64 years. He is also survived by his only daughter, Stephanie Sinagra Stanley, and her husband, John Stanley & two grandchildren, Taylor Stanley, and Hunter Stanley. Frank is also survived by his only brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Vickie Sinagra.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Frances Musso Sinagra.

Frank served in the United States Army for two years. He was employed at Shell Chemical, Norco, for 35 years. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, basketball, football, and baseball. He especially was most proud of his granddaughter, Taylor, for completing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, and his grandson, Hunter, who is a professional baseball player with the Cleveland Guardians organization.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Steve Gaudin for taking care of Frank for over 20 years. The nurses and aides at Summerfield were caring and wonderful and much appreciated. A special thank you to Bridgeway Healthcare and Hospice of Baton Rouge, especially to Ms. Shanna and Ms. Zy for their support and compassion. Also, an important thank you to Ms. Helen Evans, Frank’s special caretaker and friend.
