Frank J. Malak, age 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was an active member of the American Legion. He was a devoted Christian, and attended the American Asian Apostolic Church with his wife.

Frank was known for his goofy, silly, and loving personality. He dedicated over 30 years of service to A3M Vacuum Services, working tirelessly to provide for his family. Alongside his strong work ethic, Frank was known for his stubbornness and love of candy. Due to Mrs. Flora’s strict no candy policy you’d occasionally find one of Frank’s candy stashes hidden in the house. His love of thin mints was well known. During Christmas gatherings, his daughters were greeted with, “Where’s my mints?” because he knew they would never show up without his favorite treat.

Frank found joy in the simple things in life. He cherished his daily coffee ritual, but what he valued most was spending time with his family, creating cherished memories together.

Frank was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He is already deeply missed by his family and friends.

He leaves behind his adoring wife of 49 years, Flora Cabalar Malak; beautiful daughters, Arlyn Arseneaux (Scott), Mary Cooper (Scott), Jenny Malak, Sherry Turner (Joshua); precious grandchildren, Hayden and Noah Arseneaux, Heather Cooper, Carrera Kernan, Joshua Jr and Taylor Turner; siblings, Frances Goodrich, Stanley Malak Jr., Debra "Debbie" Haydell (Michael), Rachel Goodrich (Jerry), David Malak (Lori), and Diane Curtis.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Rachel and Stanley Malak Sr.; brothers-in-law, Tim Goodrich and William Curtis.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond at 3:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Jonathan Gers will be officiating the services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home.
