Frank Cali passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 92. He was born on Friday, June 19, 1925 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Rosa Castrogiovanni Cali and the late Antonino Cali. Frank was in heavy artillery in World War II and was awarded a Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and Victory Medal. Frank and 4 of his brothers, Joe, Vito, Angelo, and Sam all served in WWII for their country.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Nell Hilbun Cali; daughter, Pamela Saddler and her husband Larry; son, Frank David Cali and his wife Michelle; grandchildren, Melissa Meisgeier and her husband Nate, Rebecca Cali, Brennan Saddler, and Justin Saddler; siblings, Bea Alack and Frances Barberito; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Antonino Cali; mother, Rosa Castrogiovanni Cali; brothers, Joe, Gasper, Vito, Angelo, and Sam Cali; and granddaughter, Carson Elizabeth Saddler.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 12:00 pm.
Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
