Francisco Dawson "Frank" Simone, Jr.

Francisco Dawson "Frank" Simone, Jr., of Angie, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the age of 73. He was born on January 4, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up in Arabi, the son of Sicilian immigrants Francisco Simone, Sr. and Edith Egan Simone. Frank served his country in the U.S. Navy as a cook aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt. He had a passion for motorcycles as well as woodworking, carving many beautiful decoys by hand. Frank also loved to cook and bake and enjoyed sharing this love with family and friends.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Lisa Shaw and husband Michael; son, Frank Simone, III and wife Nicole; grandchildren, Benjamin Simone, Tiffany Sumrall, Samantha Knight, and Michael Shaw, III; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Elise Gail Fernandez Simone and brother, Keith Simone.

Services will be held privately at a later date. Family and friends are encouraged to send condolences and share memories online.
