Frances Louise Milazzo

Frances Louise Milazzo passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 95 surrounded by loved ones. 

Frances was born on September 8, 1928, in Hammond, Louisiana to John Milazzo and Mary Latino Milazzo, and much of her life was wholly dedicated to her family. She was a devout caretaker for all of those around her and was considered a “bonus” mom and grandma to many of her loved ones. 

As such, she always had a special way of bringing family together. Like most Italian-Americans, Frances loved cooking and feeding anyone who walked through her door. Her macaroni and red gravy could summon relatives from miles away, and it was nearly impossible to leave without refilling your plate once or twice. The memories made in her home are truly countless and will be cherished by many for years to come. 

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Milazzo; brothers, Frank, Joseph, Henry, Tony, Louis, and Joe Milazzo, sister, Margaret Milazzo Lottinger, nephew Frank Milazzo, Jr., and niece Mary Lottinger Dummet. She is survived by 16 nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Holy Ghost Church in Hammond, from 9:30 am until 11:30 am with a funeral mass at 11:30, followed by burial at Colonial Cemetery in Independence, LA.
