Frances L. Lemoine

Frances L. Lemoine was born August 24, 1938, in Waggaman, and passed away October 3, 2022, in Hammond.  She was a resident of Loranger and former resident of Waggaman.  Frances was a member of Cooper’s Chapel United Methodist Church and ran food boxes for both Cooper’s Chapel and Loranger United Methodist Churches.  She volunteered for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for over 20 years, and coached basketball, baseball, and volleyball.  Frances is survived by her husband, David J. Lemoine; children, Eddie Griffen (Barbara), Brian Griffen (Lisa), Tammy Smith (Don), and Paula Griffen; stepchildren, Suzie Englade (Ryne) and Richie Lemoine (Kristi; brother, Ronnie LeBlanc (Becky); sister, Nelrose Debruler; grandchildren, David, Michelle, Kyle, Nicholas, Steven, Corey, Paul and Jesse; step grandchildren, Amber and Will, and numerous great grandchildren nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Annie Cascio LeBlanc, husband of first marriage, Edwin “Pete” Griffen; and brother, Melvin LeBlanc, Jr.  A memorial service will be held at a later date at Cooper’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
