Frances Forrest

Frances Levern Forrest "Nonnie" was born in Ponchatoula, Louisiana on November 15, 1942, the daughter of Willard Isaac and Timie Bourn Lambert, and biological father Andrew Forrest.  She has been a resident of Ponchatoula for over sixty years, and died Sunday, July 4, 2021, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital at the age of 79.

She graduated from Ponchatoula High School in 1960. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, painting and crafts. She was a caring and devoted friend to many. She always kept her door open to anyone needing a comforting or warming friend. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She leaves a legacy behind to cherish her memory: her 3 children Shelia Levern Kinchen of Ponchatoula, LA, William "Wade" Hanna Jr. and wife Alicia of Ponchatoula, LA, Donna Frances Schiro of Covington, LA, 7 grandchildren Whitney Warner and husband Paul of Robert, LA, Jeremy Walley of Covington, LA, Shayna Kanafani and husband Tarek of Gretna, LA, Jared Walley of Covington, LA, Justin Walley and wife Sarah of Covington, LA, Alivia Hanna and Ethan Wade Hanna of Ponchatoula LA., 3 great-grandchildren Eli and Emmett Warner of Robert, LA, Layla Grace Walley of Covington, LA, and awaiting the arrival of her 4th great-grandchild Adrian Kanafani. 6 sisters Hollie "Puggie" Bourn of Virginia, Sally Strahan and husband Danny of Picayune, MS,  Sissie Forrest of Ponchatoula, LA, Cooter Vasquez of Ponchatoula, LA, Shirley Dykes of Ponchatoula, LA, and Drenda Pardue and husband Royce of Ponchatoula, La.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willard Isaac and Timie Bourn Lambert, and biological father Andrew Forrest, Sister Frankie Dunaway, nephew Herbert Wayne Tobias, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers, texts, and phone calls. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life as we lay her heavenly body to rest on Saturday July 31, 2021, at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 100 W Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454.  Visitation with family will start at 9:00 am and continue until the funeral service begins at 11:00 an in the funeral home chapel.
