Frances Mae Arnone

Frances Mae Arnone, longtime resident of Tickfaw, passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 89. She was a graduate from Independence High School and continued her studies at Southeastern University with a Master of Education.  Frances was a retired schoolteacher with over 50 years in St. Tammy Parish.  

She is survived by her brother Guy Arnone, nieces and nephews: Yvette Sanchez and husband Jose, children Anthony and Jacqueline; Walter d’Hemecourt, Jr., and wife Cheryl; Michael Arnone; Jerry Arnone; Jerrell Arnone and wife Teresa, children Nicholas Wroten and wife Jennifer and Justin Arnone and wife Taysha; Donna Arnone Montagnino and husband Alan, children Vincent Joseph Montagnino and Alaina Montagnino; Randall Arnone and wife Dena, children Brock Primeaux and wife Cayla, Joshua Arnone and Cade Primeaux.  She was also survived by great-great nieces and nephews:  Adriana Burnett, Kye Grant, Brayden Wroten, Garret Arnone, Natalie Montagnino, and Amelia Montagnino.

Preceded in death by parents Jack and Catherine Arnone and sister Cecelia d'Hemecourt and husband Walter, brother Vincent Arnone and wife Josephine "Phyne" Rae Miceli Arnone, nephew Paul David Arnone and sister-in-law Sarah Michelli Arnone.

She was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church and enjoyed coffee visits with friends. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on January 20, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Tickfaw, and graveside services will follow at Pompeii Cemetery.
