Fay Ann Guagliardo

Fay Ann Guagliardo passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 94. She was born on Monday, August 31, 1931, in Husser, Louisiana, to the late Olivet Tycer and the late Orbert Tycer. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Fay is survived by her children, Mark (Kathleen) Guagliardo, Robert (Virginia) Guagliardo, Dennis (Scarlett) Guagliardo, Meinrad (Karen) Guagliardo, Anthea (Roland III) Robert, and Dominica (Jessie) Sullivan. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Guagliardo; father, Orbert Tycer; mother, Olivet Tycer; sister, Betty Jean Tycer Bellott, and grandsons, Kevin Guagliardo and Michael Brandenburg.

In Fay's early life, she worked and lived on a farm, helping her family tend to whatever was needed, especially milking cows. She then went on to work as a switchboard operator. Fay was not there long, because she met and married the love of her life, Frank. Frank and Fay were married for 55 years. They together raised 6 children, to which she took on her role as a stay at home mom raising the children, which was her greatest joy. She loved to tend to her flowers in her garden, and once retired, volunteered with Frank at TARC and other charities. Fay was loved by many, and will be missed dearly!

Services for Fay will be held on August 27, 2026, at Holy Ghost Church in Hammond, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, with the funeral mass beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
