W. Fay Glascock, age 87, peacefully passed away at her Albany residence surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. She was born on November 19, 1938, in Tickfaw, Louisiana to the late A.G. and Lois Benton Oller. Mrs. Fay was an exceptional woman, who was strong in her faith and always took care of her family along side her husband, Sonny. She loved her church and church family, where she enjoyed learning about and spreading the word of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her home was a place where everyone was welcome, the coffee never ran out and the joy and laughter brought everyone together. Mrs. Fay was always ready for an adventure whether it was in her own backyard or traveling the country with her family and friends, there was never a dull moment. In her spare time, she could often be found working on a beautiful puzzle, reading her bible, or swooning over Conway Twitty. Above all else, she adored her family more than anything and loved spending time with them making lasting memories they will cherish forever. Mrs. Fay was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her, and is already deeply missed.
She is survived by her sons, Rodney and Bug Glascock and Virgil and Lynnette Glascock; son-in-law, Larry Hardy (Benita); daughter-in-law, Kimberly Glascock. She also leaves behind her 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; five siblings; special niece, Beverly Stewart; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 64 1/2 years, Sonny Glascock; daughter, Oleta Fay Hardy; son, Zeke Glascock; and her parents, A.G. and Lois Benton Oller.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Fay's Celebration of Life Service on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Bro. Jeremy Glascock, Bro. Jason Glascock, and Bro. Scott Cooksey will be officiating the services with burial to follow in Blood River Baptist Church Cemetery.
