Evelyn Marie Pecoraro

Evelyn peacefully passed away on August 30, 2022, at the age of 91. There are many ways to describe Mrs. Evelyn, feisty, sassy, scrappy and stubborn, but also loving, caring, funny, and an overall great mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, making pizza and sausage with the grandkids, working in her yard and tending to her flowers. Evelyn was "Maw Maw" to her grandkids, who were her world, and she would literally fight anyone for them. She is already deeply missed by her family and friends.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Larry Pecoraro (Cindy), Emile Pecoraro (Faunia), Tommy Pecoraro (Nancy), and Pamela Nassar (Max); grandchildren, Larry Jo, Melissa, Nikki, Josh, Chris, Becca, Jenna, Joey, Jebril, Sabrina; great-grandchildren, Kymren, Kyrsten, Clayton, Tylin, Brock, Laz, Gabriel, Lauren, Sabastian, Colston, Everleigh, Aubrey and Olivia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Emile Pecoraro; and her siblings, Gert Monistere, Hazel Saizan, Euna Deliberto and Norman Basso.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
