Evelyn Meyer Landa
Evelyn Landa, born June 12, 1942, who gained her wings went to be with her family in Heaven on July 20, 2023.  She was 81 years young and a resident of Hammond, La formerly of Chalmette, La.
Evelyn loved her family and enjoyed her retirement.  She was feisty and she let everyone know it.
Evelyn was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her and is already deeply missed.

She leaves behind her loving children, Laura Landa LaCoste (Roy) and Thomas Patrick Landa Jr. (Tina); 6 grandchildren, Thomas Patrick Landa III (Rachel), Thomas Jacob "T.J." Landa (Kimberly), Tiffanie Paige Landa (Austin), Sophia Elizabeth Landa, Roy Francis LaCoste III and Kristina Alexis LaCoste (Joshua); 4 great-grandchildren, Annabelle Audrey Landa, Morgan Estelle Landa, Eleanor Grace Landa and Palmer Elaine Landa. She is also survived by her siblings, Marie Hoeltke, Bernice Koehn, Kenny Meyer (Peggy), John Meyer (Dora); sister-in-law, Liz Meyer; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding her in death by her parents, Lawrence P. Meyer Sr. and Anna Mae Meyer; brother, Lawrence P. Meyer Jr.; brother-in-law, Gene Hoeltke and Donnie Koehn.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church on Thursday, July 27th, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Fr. Mike O'Rourke.
 
Special thank you to every person at Ponchatoula Community Care Center who took very special care of our mom.  Also a special thank you to Alexandria Burris for caring for our mother when we could not be there.  You are forever in our hearts.
