Evelyn Evon Harrell

Evelyn Evon Harrell  passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana at the age of 81.  She was born on Wednesday, July 8, 1936 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana to the late Joyce White Griffin and the late Joseph Cooper Griffin.  She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Wally Vining and his wife Cheri; daughters, Jeannie Vining Watts and her husband Eddie, and Evelyn Harrell Wright and her husband Brandon; grandchildren, Cole Vining and his wife Ashley, Kimberly Vining Strayer and her husband Michael, Lisa Watts, Lindsay Watts, Savannah Wright, and Lucas Wright; great-grandchildren, Natalie Strayer, Malorie Strayer, and Waylon Vining; sisters, Shirley McLin, and Betty Darcey; and brothers, Kermit, Ronnie, and Joe Griffin.

She was preceded in death by her spouses, Richard "Dickie" Harrell, and W.L. Vining; father, Joseph Cooper Griffin; mother, Joyce White Griffin; and two brothers, Jimmie and Frank Griffin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.  Visitation will resume on Thursday, October 12, 2017, from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Wetmore Cemetery.
