Gordon, Sr., Ervin Dudley “Wimpy”

Wimpy, born August 16, 1933, to the late Effie and Walter Gordon, passed away October 17, 2021, at age 88.  A member of French Corner Baptist Church, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a 50 year member and Past Master of Pine Grove Lodge #288 F&AM, a member of the Jerusalem Shrine Temple, and the Ponchatoula Lions Club.  Wimpy is survived by his children, Ervin Gordon, Jr., Charlotte Gordon, and Kathy Dominguez; sisters, Cat Williams, Ann Nichols, and Rachel Naquin; brother, David Gordon; grandchildren, Anna Coates, Steven Disher, Shannon Corbin, Aaron Corbin, Tanee Janusez, Christian Gordon, Dudley Gordon, Daniel Gordon, Derrick Gordon, and Brandi Gordon; 18 great grandchildren, and a great great grandson.  In addition to his parents, Wimpy is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Anne Marie McMorris Gordon; brothers, Sylvester Gordon, Wade Gordon, Archie Gordon; and sisters, Pearl Gordon and Junie Gordon.  Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 West Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, LA, Thursday, October 21, 2021, after 9:00 am until religious services at 11:30 am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL  33607.
