Ernestine Hano Mondebello Kring known to many as Mrs. Mickey, departed this life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 12, 2018, at the age of 97. She was born in Amite, Louisiana.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Virginia Mondebello Nicolosi and devoted son-in-law Phillip Nicolosi with whom she lived with for 22 years, as well as their children; grandson, Phillip Nicolosi and his children, Phillip, Zoe, and Niko Nicolosi, granddaughter Jennifer Nicolosi and her children Peter and Jenna Combel, and grandson Peter Nicolosi (Amanda) and his children Julien, Annabella and Luciann Nicolosi, she is also survived by her son Charles Mondebello (Judy) and granddaughters Jeanine Punch and her sons Christopher and R.J. Gary and her granddaughter Gina Cottrell (Larry).
When she married Jesse she became part of the close knit Kring family.
She leaves behind her devoted step-son Hollis Kring, loving step daughter, Jesse Bernice Kring (Dereck) and step sons and friends through life George and Glenn Kring (Janet). She is survived by her step-grandchildren, Brandi, Amy, George, DeDe, Tracey, Niki, Tricia, Robin, Angela, and Glennie, and their children.
Ernestine is also survived by her three nieces Katty Lavasseur (Alan), Trudy Miller, and Marie Hano and their families. She also leaves behind the loving and ever present Nicolosi family whom she loved as her own.
Ernestine was proceeded in death by her husband of 25 years, Jesse George Kring. Her parents Katherine Casanova Hano and Matthew John Hano and her grandmother Margaret Brunet Casanova who raised her after her mother's death. Her beloved brother Emanuel P. Hano and wife Gertrude and brother Rudolph Hano. She is now reunited with her many aunts and uncles who she was raised with as siblings as well as cousins and friends. Her biggest reward in heaven is to be with her infant son Joseph Salvador Mondebello and baby girl Mondebello whom were on her mind often in her final days.
She is proceeded in death by her ex husband and father of her children Salvador Mondebello.

Special thanks to Nurse Jeanne Gobert whose professional presence and human touch brought so much comfort to my Mother and our family, as well as Brandi Plaisance for her guidance and reassurance. And all the friends and family for their constant support and prayers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA from 12:00 pm until the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Cemetery.
