Ernestine Gates Williams

Ernestine Gates Williams passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 97.  She was born on Sunday, May 18, 1924 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana to the late Ursulla Lavigne Gates and the late Desrie Gates.  She was a resident of Fort Worth, Texas.

Ernestine is survived by her daughter, Carmen Bility, 73; son, Paul Henry Williams, III, 74; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Henry Williams, Jr.; father, Desrie Gates; and mother, Ursulla Lavigne Gates.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, November 27, 2021, beginning at 11:00 AM, until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM.  

Interment will follow in Ponchatoula Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
