Ernest Charles Carlton, Jr

Ernest Charles Carlton, Jr., age 45, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 in Mount Rocky, North Carolina. He was born in Hammond, Louisiana on August 13, 1979, to the late Ernest Charles Carlton Sr. and Bonnie Jean Howell. He was known for woodworking skills, his passion for carpentry was unmatched. In his free time, he could be found fishing or taking a dip in the river. Ernest loved spending time with his family, getting dressed up to take on the town and making memories with his children and grandsons.

He is survived by his son, Ernest Charles Carlton III "Trey" (Taylor Nicole Fuller Carlton); daughter, Madison Love Carlton; grandchildren, Eli Moon Fisher and Asher McCon; brother, George Randall Brister; sister, Cynthia Leslie Carlton and Wendy Renee Carlton; girlfriend, Courtney G. Boyd; bonus children, Izabella Rose Boyd and Ian Gerald Boyd; former wife, Sarah Marie Sullivan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Ernest Charles Carlton Sr. and Bonnie Jean Howell.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Terry Lobell will be officiating the services with interment to follow in Loranger Community Cemetery.
