Erma Annie Bailey Harper

Erma Annie Bailey Harper passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2021, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 95.  She was born on Wednesday, September 9, 1925 in Robert, Louisiana to the late Lela E. Bailey and Pierce Bailey.  She was a resident of Loranger, Louisiana.

Erma is survived by her children, Lescine "Buck" Omer Harper, Jr. (Arwena), James "J. P." Harper (Nell), Charlene Ann Culbreath (Charles Carroll), and Terry C. Harper (Charlotte); grandchildren, Kim Ridgell (Terral), Jeff Harper (Lahoma), Brandon Harper, Ashley Harper, Taylor Harper, Jason Harper, Jeremy Harper (Jennifer), Jared Harper (Amanda), and Seth Harper (Lindsay); as well as 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Erma is also preceded in death by her husband, Lescine Omer Harper, Sr.; her daughter, Maxine Erma Harper; and her 6 siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Thursday, July 29, 2021, beginning at 10:00 AM, until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM.  

Interment will follow in Narretto Cemetery, Loranger, Louisiana.

Face masks will be mandatory for Erma's service for both the funeral home and the graveside, and the family and the funeral home staff ask that everyone wear them at all times. Thank you for your cooperation.
