Erin Margaret Gautier

Erin Margaret Gautier, born on November 6, 1981, in New Orleans, LA passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana. She was the beloved daughter of Debbie Patenotte and the late Joey Gautier.

She was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. In her younger years, she attended Holy Ghost Catholic School and St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Hammond, LA, where she excelled in athletics, including track, basketball and swimming. Recently, she spent several years working for her family business, Patenotte Pool & Spa, where she had an infectious, energetic spirit and loved making people laugh. Erin was full of life, an avid animal lover, and enjoyed being outdoors and painting. She brought joy to others in her own way and her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends.

Erin is survived by her loving mother, Debbie Patenotte, life partner, John McCrory, brothers Thad Gautier (Jennifer) and Chris Gautier (Tiffany); Nieces Lillian Gautier and Teigan Gautier, nephews John Scott Payne and Cavins Gautier. She also leaves behind aunts, uncles and cousins who adored her dearly. Among them are Mignonne Patenotte, Wyatt Patenotte, and Jack Gautier (Suzanne). She was preceded in death by her father, Joey Gautier, maternal grandparents, L.T. and Betty Patenotte; and paternal grandparents, Jack and Margaret Gautier.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life service to honor Erin Margaret Gautier on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd. Hammond, Louisiana, 70401. A Memorial Mass will take place the following morning on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Chapel, 31718 Main Street
Springfield, LA 70462.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Hammond and Ponchatoula. Although Erin’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to uplift us. May her memory carry forth a legacy of joy and love in all that we do.
