Erin Decker Mauterer

Erin Decker Mauterer, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Friday, July 30, 2021, at the age of 55. She was born on Wednesday, November 24, 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Alvin Joseph Decker and the late Rosemary Salzer Decker.

Erin is survived by her husband of 35 years, Raymond L. Mauterer Jr., sons, Ethan Mauterer, and Rylan Mauterer; sisters, Joan Uhlich, and Vicki Waterman; Godsons, Jimmie Jewett, and Daniel Soldani, special niece, Rhonda Blackledge, special friend, Terry Gideon; and numerous nieces, nephews and other close family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Elsie Hardcastle, and Terry Jewett, father-in-law, Raymond L. Mauterer Sr, mother-in-law, Margie Tranchina Mauterer, and brothers-in-law, Toddy Soldani, and Giovanni Aquilar.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel in Hammond on Tuesday at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Rosaryville Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
