Eloise Goudeau Anderson

Eloise Goudeau Anderson peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the age of 80, at the Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond, Louisiana. She was born on September 4, 1945, to the late Ora Bankston Goudeau and Louis Pierre Goudeau. Eloise was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

She is survived by her daughters, Ora Lynn Anderson Smith, Jane Anderson, and Sarah Anderson Bauers (Britt Bauers); and her grandchildren, James Rogers, Rebecca Smith, Theo Bauers, Ellie Torrance, Anderson Martin, Ryan Smith, and Walker Torrance.

In addition to her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Victor Gordon Anderson, Jr.; her daughter, Scarlett Anderson Rogers; her granddaughter, Katherine Forrest; her brothers, Jimmy Goudeau and Pat Goudeau; and her sisters, Clare Goudeau Tallo, Catherine Goudeau Smith, and Marie Goudeau Felder.

Eloise’s life was deeply rooted in her faith, which guided her every step and shaped the way she loved and cared for others. She gave generously, loved unconditionally, and found her greatest happiness in time spent with her family and friends.

Eloise leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the family she cherished so dearly and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Family and friends will be received at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 601 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm. The rosary will begin at 2:30 pm, with mass to follow at 3:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Holly Gardens Cemetery.
