Elna Ernest Bowman

Elna Ernest Bowman, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at North Oaks Medical Center. She was born on Wednesday, November 15, 1944, in Bayou Barbary, Louisiana. Elna was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Elna  is survived by her 2 sons, Derrin Ernest and Steven Ernest and his wife LaDonna; grandchildren, Madison Shatswell and her husband Timothy, Maranda Ernest and Alexandra Ernest; great-grandchild, Charley Anthony; brother, Roy Miller; sister, Norma Jean Gill; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billy and Glenda Dufreche; brother-in-law, Ellis Ernest; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lansing and Pearlie Mae Miller; 1st husband, Oscar "Ottie" Ernest; 2nd husband, Merlin Bowman; brother, Berlin Miller; sister Katherine Miller; and sister-in-law, Barbara Ernest.

Visitation for Family and Friends will be on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service begins at 11:00 am, at French Corner Baptist Church, 39715 Teal Rd. Ponchatoula LA.70454.

Interment will follow at Ponchatoula Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
