Ellis "Marty" Winfield Martin

Ellis "Marty" Winfield Martin passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, in Springfield, Louisiana, at the age of 74.  He was born on Wednesday, May 14, 1947 to the late Shirley Mae Coats Martin and the late Winfield Martin.  He was a resident of Springfield, Louisiana.

Marty was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during Vietnam.  He was very passionate about his service and loved his country. Marty was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and a big fan of old country music. He also loved his Boxer dogs, Liberty, Brindle, and Runt, who preceded him in death.

Marty is survived by his children, Cindy Guillory (Ken), Sandy Crowell (Greg), Jon Day, and Jessi Soileau (Joshua); grandchildren, Lacee, Ashley, Charlie, Christopher, Stephanie, Jacob, Kalob, and Alexandra; and sisters, Pam Martin and Debbie Picou.

He was preceded in death by his father, Winfield Martin; mother, Shirley Mae Coats Martin; and sister, Shirley Ann Flowers.

Services for Marty will be private.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to his sister, Debbie Picou and his cousin, Doreen Kelly for taking such good care of him, and to Dee Erich, for always being there for him when he needed her.
