Ellinor "Jeannen" Whittington

Born in Kaplan, LA September 28, 1953 and gained her heavenly wings on Friday October 20, 2023 in Covington, Louisiana. “Jeannen” was 70 years young. 

In her 70 years on this earth, she touched many lives, always brought light to every room with her kind smile when she walked in, and definitely never met a stranger. Jeannen was not only a very warm hearted, joyful woman, but also a very loving mother and grand mother who would always give before she took. 

She was most known for the time she spent at Whittington’s Notary service, helping people with any and all paperwork that needed her magic touch.

Jeannen is survived by her children, Billie Prine and Tommy Lock; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Stacie Rushing; and brother-in-law, Tommy Johnson.

She is welcomed into heaven by her son, Buster Lock; her husband, Lloyd Whittington; and her four sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Monday, October 23, 2023, beginning at 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
