Ella May Maklary

Ella May Maklary passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in Independence, Louisiana, at the age of 71. She was born on Friday, July 14, 1950, in Folsom, Louisiana to the late Mary Pierre Anthony and the late Dan Anthony. She was a resident of Independence, Louisiana.

Ella is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Gary Maklary, daughter, Jaime Maklary, four grandchildren, Kyleigh, Emaleigh, Kolston and Kashton, brothers, Houston, Johnny and Arnold Anthony, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Pierre Anthony; father, Dan Anthony; sister, Lillie May Pierre; brothers, Leonard and Lanice Anthony; as well as her aunt and uncle, Celina and Leander Pierre.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 11:00 am until service time.
