Elizabeth Ann Wallace Warmbir, of Hammond, Louisiana, peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born on October 22, 1935, in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Hobart Mckinley Wallace Sr. and Lola June Wise Wallace. Ann was a member of various art associations as well as being an artist herself. She was a very talented water color painter and piano player. Ann worked many years with North Oaks Hospice and was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, playing golf, and listening to jazz and blues music. Ann was a friendly, outgoing, and caring person who loved taking care of her family and having a good laugh over coffee with friends.
Ann is survived by her children, Joan Kirby and Mike Warmbir; grandchildren, Allison Warmbir Cooke (James) and Jerin Kirby; great granddaughter, Sophia Marie Cooke; and sister, Marjorie Harrison.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Michael Warmbir, brother, Hobart Mckinley Wallace Jr., and sister, Dorothy Westerhoff.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will begin on Tuesday at 1:00 pm.
Ann will be laid to rest with her husband at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola Florida at a later date.
