Mary Elizabeth Joseph DeLoach

Mary Elizabeth Joseph DeLoach passed away into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Ponchatoula, LA. She was 74 years old, born on November 12, 1950, in Hammond, LA to the late George & Frances Mansour Joseph Sr. She was raised in Hammond, LA. Liz was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and was a member of Pentecostals of Loranger Church.

Liz was a Nanny for many years & a Homemaker. She loved Arabian horses, Gospel & Worship music, red roses, baking her favorite banana nut bread & spending time with family & friends. She never met a stranger; she was always encouraging others with the Gospel & sharing the love of the Lord. She also adored her late fur baby, Abby.

Liz is survived by her brother, Michael Joseph; sister-in-law, Sheryl Joseph; nieces, Shana Acosta (Steven) & Rebecca Daniel (Brian); great-nephews, Andrew Lowery (Tara), Joseph Daniel, & Keith Joseph (Michelle); great-nieces, Theresa Daniel & Alyssa Acosta; step-daughter, Nicole Pate (Dale); sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Gonsalez (Juan) & Suzanne Lewis (Billy); granddaughters, Kimberlea Pate (Derek), Amber Pate, & Erin Taylor (Tim) & great-granddaughter Kennedy; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Kenneth DeLoach, the love of her life; parents, George & Frances Joseph, Sr; her brother, George E Joseph Jr; her great-nephew, Logan D. Young; father-in-law, Darrell DeLoach & mother-in-law, Mary DeLoach.

Liz was a loving wife to her Georgia Cowboy for 32 years. She was a kind, caring, thoughtful, always praying for you, Daughter, Sister, Cousin, Sister-In-Law, Aunt, Grandmother, Faithful Friend,& Nanny.

There will never be enough words to express our gratitude & love to the entire staff of Ponchatoula Community Care Center & Notre Dame Hospice for their compassion, gentleness, kindness & respect they have given Liz through these past months. You have all went above & above and we are forever grateful. You truly are God’s hands & feet.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Matt Jones officiating.
