Elizabeth "Betty" Foster Meador, a resident of Hammond, LA, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the age of 89 years. She was born on January 17, 1931.
Betty was a graduate of Ponchatoula High but moved to Hammond after her marriage in 1950. She was a beloved active volunteer with may local organizations, with special love for the Shop with Ginger Ford Nothshore Fuller Center and Grace Memorial Episcopal Church.
Betty is Survived by her children, Gwen Meador Myers, Tim Meador and wife, Brenda, and Elizabeth "Boo" Meador Sullivan and husband, James Bruce; grandchildren, Ward Pevey (Sunny), William Myers (Melissa), Megan Milazzo (John), Lindsey Lowery (Chris), and Logan Sullivan. She was the great-grandmother to Levi, William, Jr., Hendrix, and John III.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Laguin Meador, her mother, Thelma Dixon Smith; step-father, Walter T. Smith; father, Edward Foster; brother and sister-in-law, Elmer Foster and Faye Stilley Foster; and son-in-law, Jerry Wayne Myers.
Services for Betty will be private.
The family appreciates flowers, as well as donations to Fuller House or Grace Memorial Episcopal Church.
