Edwin "Hot Rod" L. Puls Sr.

Edwin "Hot Rod" L. Puls Sr., of Loranger, Louisiana, peacefully passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the age of 94, surrounded by his family. He was born on Wednesday, September 16, 1931, in Loranger, Louisiana, the son of the late Harold Puls and Marie Gerstein Puls.

He was a man of quiet strength and enduring love.

Ed is survived by his sons, Ronald Puls (Paula), Timothy Puls (Rocky), and Jeffery Puls (Carol); daughters, Melinda Frandria (Joey) and Sandi Bailey (Chuckie); stepdaughters, Jane E. Lee (Curtis) and Suzie Puls (Dwayne), and daughter-in-law, Stacy Puls. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Sandy Mae Puls; sons, Edwin "Eddie Boy" L. Puls Jr. and Louis Puls; and siblings, Fred Puls, Elanor Fletcher, and Ida Brown.
