Edwin "Cricket" Earl Culbreath

Edwin "Cricket" Earl Culbreath, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born on Saturday, February 13, 1937, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, to the late Francis Culbreath and Carrie Poche Culbreath. Cricket's favorite things were watching wrestling, swinging outside, and talking and laughing with his friend, Gene. 

In addition to his parents, Cricket is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Francis Drude Culbreath, and his twin brother, Edward “Tony” Culbreath. 

Cricket is survived by his best friend and caregiver, William “Gene” Fontenot; his brother, Cyril “CJ” Culbreath, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Ponchatoula Cemetery, US-51 BUS, Ponchatoula, LA 70454, at 11:00 am.
