Edward Clyde Moreland

Edward Clyde Moreland, of Hammond, Louisiana and formerly of Homestead, Florida, passed away at his home on Friday, December 24, 2021, at the age of 73. He was born on May 31, 1948, in Paterson, New Jersey. Ed was the Chief Estimator for Fisk Electric, a member of First Baptist Church of Independence and the Tangi Flying Club, a former youth football coach, and a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Ed is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara Armstrong Moreland; children, Douglas Shivers and wife Sharan, James "Jimmy" Shivers and wife Shelley, Mindy, and Scott Moreland; grandchildren, Shay, Shane, Marissa, Alyssa, and Megan Shivers; siblings, Fred Probest, Ron Moreland, and Edie Shepard; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Marjorie Probest.

Family and friends are invited to attend Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church of Independence, 548 W 5th St, Independence, Louisiana 70443 on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 12:00 pm.
