Edna Hano Stanga, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at Belle Maison Nursing Home on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the age of 94. She was born on Friday, March 18, 1927, in Holden, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Frank M. Â and Ida Bennett Hano.
Edna is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Allen and Deborah P. Stanga, Elvis and Alison C. Stanga, daughter & son-in-law, Brenda S. and Nathan Sticker, grandchildren, James Sticker Jr., Cody Stanga, Tracey Ricouard(Bobby), Â Cliff Griggs(Tracy), Anthony Griggs, Crystal Sticker, Cynthia Drury(Gary), Â Raye Sticker, and Ginger Brown(Ira), numerous great, great-great, and great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Rowena Effler.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, James V. Sticker Sr., grandchildren, Nathan Sticker, and Gordon Stanga, sisters, Mary Lois Stanga, Gladys Sawyer, and Inez Arnold; Â brothers, Vernon, Morgan, Claude, and Preston Hano.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 pm, with Rev Glynn Fendlason officiating.
Interment will follow in Stanga Cemetery, Bedico, LA.
The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Smitty Smith, Belle Maison Nursing Home, and New Century Hospice for their compassion and care of Mrs Edna.
