Edith "Pat" Charbonnet

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Edith (Pat) Charbonnet. Edith (Pat) Charbonnet passed away on June 9, 2025 at the age of 83. She was born March 13,1942 to the late Edith and John Hoover, Sr. Pat was a true people person who loved everyone and expressed that love by feeding them, whether they were family, friends, or even foes. Pat will be reunited with her husband, parents, and brother: Earl (EJ) Charbonnet, Edith and John Hoover, Sr., and John Hoover, Jr. She leaves behind her loving children: Delaine Verdin (Donnie); Jimmy Charbonnet (Tammy); Michele (Micki) Leblanc; and Nanette Wetzel. Pat also leaves behind the apples of her eye—her grandchildren: Jodi Raiford, Heather VanGilder, Courtney Delatte (Neil), Ryan Charbonnet (Sandi), Danielle Wetzel, Dustin Charbonnet (Danielle), Kevin Warsh, and Joshua Wetzel, along with 13 great-grandchildren. Pat will be laid to rest Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Ponchatoula Cemetery following visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. and services at 11:00 a.m. at Harry McKneely Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. The Saturday morning crew will deeply miss her at Paul’s Café, where she enjoyed pancakes with family and friends. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Life Source Hospice, and Landmark Nursing Center Hammond. A gathering for all family and friends will be held after the burial at Kiwanis Log Cabin located at 201 West Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula Louisiana.
