E.D. Miles, 90, of Central, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Jackson, Louisiana. Born on August 16, 1935, in Sicily Island, Louisiana, E.D. was the son of the late Thomas Jeff and Ethel Miles.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1957. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, serving as a construction supervisor and truck driver. E.D.’s lifelong hobby was training and racing horses.
E.D. is survived by sons, Eddie Miles (Sydney) and Scott Miles (Lisa); grandchildren, Evelyn Henderson (Josh), Garrett Miles, Emily Lovvorn (Cody), Morgan Miles, and Luke Miles; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Cooper, Wrenleigh, Eli, and Lyric.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Rosalie, his brothers, R.D. and W.C., and sisters, Rose, Lucille, and Lillie.
The family is grateful to the wonderful staff of the Louisiana Veterans Home and Southern Grace Hospice for their compassionate care and support during his final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund.
A private graveside service will be held for the family.
