Earl Noel Louviere, Jr. was born on October 14, 1948, in Houma, Louisiana, to the late Earl Noel Louviere, Sr. and Zona Breaux Louviere. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 31, 2024, at his home in Ponchatoula. A proud native of Houma and a longtime resident of Ponchatoula, Earl was a retired chemist, a devoted family man, and a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula.
Earl’s patriotism was a defining part of his life. He deeply loved the United States, held immense respect for its freedoms, and cherished the principles it stands for. He had a profound admiration for the brave men and women of the armed forces and never missed an opportunity to honor them.Earl’s love for America was evident in both his words and actions, inspiring those around him to hold similar respect and pride.
Beyond his patriotic spirit, Earl was a man of many interests. A skilled and passionate firearm enthusiast, he was always eager to share his knowledge and skills. He spent many joyful hours duck hunting, savoring time in nature, and he took great pride in making wine and juicing oranges from the family’s property-a connection to his roots that he treasured.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Tracie Kubelka Louviere; his sons, Earl Noel Louviere III, Huntington R. Louviere, and Sean C. Louviere; his daughters, Kylie L. Hernandez and Kaitlin Louviere; thirteen cherished grandchildren; his sisters, Belva Dusenbery and Geri LeBoeuf; and his brother, Wayde Louviere. Earl is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Craig Louviere.
Visitation will be held at Saturday, November 9, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 N 8th St, Ponchatoula, from 12:30 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. A private family interment will be held at Ponchatoula Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
