Earl J. Baudin, Sr.

Earl J. Baudin Sr., of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Camelot Community Care in Ponchatoula at the age of 82. He was born on June 19, 1936, in Alexandria, Louisiana, the son of the late Clinton Baudin and the late Melonaise Tanner Baudin. Earl was a beloved member of many groups and communities. He was a salesman for many years, which suited his friendly and outgoing personality. Earl belonged to The Knights of Columbus, volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul, was a volunteer firefighter in Ponchatoula, a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and former Ponchatoula police officer. Above all, he was dearly loved by his family and the countless friends that he made throughout his life.

Earl is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Loys Lemoine Baudin; children, Mel Baudin Scruggs (Johnny Martin), Cindy Baudin Wiitala (Troy Wiitala), Earl J. Baudin Jr. (Traci Mills Baudin), and Angie Baudin Keller (Don Keller); grandchildren, Charles Townsend, Yvette Townsend, Amy McCreary, Thomas Laird, Joshua Baudin, Daniel Baudin, Brittny Keller, and Christopher Keller; great-grandchildren, Hattie Maddox, Madison Maddox, Scarlett Townsend, and Lyla McCreary; sister, Juanita Bordelon (Dean Bordelon); brother, Clinton Baudin, Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Friends and relatives will be received at Rosaryville Spirit Life Center, 39003 Rosaryville Rd. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 11:00 am until the memorial service begins at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Rosaryville Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
