Dustin Joshua Hoffman

Dustin Joshua Hoffman, of Independence, Louisiana, passed away at Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at the age of 34. He was born on September 27, 1986, in Independence, Louisiana and worked for Canal Barge Company for over ten years. Dustin was a friendly and fun-loving person who you could always depend on to lift your spirits. He loved hunting, fishing, music, pirates and he lived life to the fullest every day. Dustin was a loving husband and father. There are so many people's lives he touched and he will be dearly missed.

Dustin is survived by his wife of 8 years, Melissa Dewenter Hoffman; children, Alice, Mason, Keith and Cameron; mother, Reneé Wheat White and husband Robert; father, B.J. Hoffman; sister, Samantha Hoffman and husband Ray Mulkey; nieces, Michaela, Lana and Skyler; mother and father-in-law, Terry and Glen Dewenter; brothers-in-law, Keith M. Dewenter, Phillip A. Dewenter; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Dustin was preceded in death by his grandparents, William C. and Edith M. Hoffman.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, on Wednesday at 11:00 am, with Pastor Chad Smith officiating.
