Duran Michael Mclin

Duran Michael McLin passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 in Robert, Louisiana, at the age of 40. He was born on Tuesday, October 5, 1982 in Metairie, Louisiana to Jody Beadle McLin and Clifford McLin, Jr. He was a resident of Robert, Louisiana.

Duran was well loved by many friends and family members. He was known by many different names Son, Brother, Daddy, Daddy D, Uncle D and most of all “Bae” by his loving wife. Duran Michael was his name when he was in the music industry and there weren’t many places that Duran would go without his guitar in hand. From nightly concerts “jam” sessions in his shed and concerts he gave to his children’s sleep over friends, and serenading his family while watching TV.  Duran had a love for music and he will forever be remembered for that. He also had a love for hunting, fishing, and crabbing. Duran was also one of the best cooks ever. Frying Turkeys on the holidays, “SOS” for breakfast and amazing boiled seafood that he would never reveal his secret ingredients for. Many hours were spent doing these things with his Loving family.

Duran is survived by his wife, Kayla Locicero McLin better known to him as “Bae”; Father, Clifford McLin, Jr.; Mother, Jody Beadle McLin; children, Makayla McLin, Maverick McLin, and Isabella DiMacco McLin; sister, Kristian McLin Hutchinson (Philip); nephew, Devin Ritchie; grandmother Joanne Beadle; and many friends and family.  

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford McLin, Sr. and Kathryn McLin better known to him as “Maw Maw Kitty”; grandfather, Dudley Beadle; aunt Laurie Cox and cousin, Dudley Cox.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Thursday, February 16, 2023 beginning at 11:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM.

Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
