Douglas Roy Jenkins

Douglas Roy Jenkins went to be with his Lord Jesus on Monday, October 9, 2023.  He was born in Montgomery, AL on July 25, 1956. He is survived by his wife, Linda Silbernagel Jenkins; two children, Lacey Jenkins Mondor (Micah); Kyle Roy Jenkins (Esther); parents Aubrey C. Jenkins and Ophelia R. Fray; two sisters, Sharon DeLoach and Suzanne Gill; five grandchildren, Jethro, Jairus, Jesse, Jack, and Juniper.

Throughout Roy's life, he was a commercial diver, teacher, tutor, motocross racer, announcer, chaplain, author, pastor, and men's mentor. His passion was to spread the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to all who met him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Church of the King, 22205 Little Creek Road, Mandeville, LA 70471 on Friday, October 20, 2023, with visitation from 10 am--12 noon. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery, 23569 Carter Plantation Drive, Springfield, LA 70462.
